Biosensor technology being used for research across campus

During the past three years, ECE Associate Professor Brian Cunningham and his graduate students have been developing new ways to use photonic crystals in biosensing. Their research projects involve collaboration with several departments within the University.

Leburton, Timp, and team propose DNA fabrication technique

Along with ECE Professor Greg Timp, Professor Jean-Pierre Leburton is studying DNA sequencing using a synthetic nanopore. The effort stems from a large goal of the National Human Genome Research Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), to make DNA sequencing faster and more cost effective.
